Miss Contestants

To become the 2026 Miss Texas, a contestant must first win a local competition, adhering to the eligibility criteria set forth by the Miss America Organization. This process requires personal commitment, hard work, and talent. Each year, more than twelve thousand young women participate in local and state events, culminating in the selection of 51 national finalists who compete for the coveted Miss America title.

Age & Education

Delegates must be no older than 28 years of age as of September 30, 2026, and no younger than 18 on September 1, 2026.

Residency

To meet the eligibility criteria, contestants must fulfill ONE of the following requirements:

Must reside in the State of Texas,
Or be enrolled in and physically attending classes on a full-time basis at an accredited college or university,
Or be employed on a full-time basis in the State of Texas for 120 days.

Citizenship

Contestants must be citizens of the United States of America.

Teen Contestants

To become the 2026 Miss Texas' Teen, a contestant must first win a local competition, adhering to specific eligibility criteria that emphasize personal commitment, hard work, and talent. Each year, more than twelve thousand young women participate in local and state events organized by the Miss America Organization, culminating in the selection of 51 national finalists who compete for the coveted Miss America's Teen title. The cost to enter the Fort Worth's / Coppell's Teen Competition is $150.00, and all you need is commitment, perseverance, talent, and clear goals!

Age

Delegates must be no younger than 14 as of September 1, 2026, or no older than 18 on September 30, 2026.
